Dana Sitar writes from San Francisco Bay Area of California, where she lives with a crew of rowdy artists, always in search of the next Story.

Dana's diverse background, experiences, and interests are obvious in her writing, which varies from literary fiction to gonzo journalism to erotica to community newswriting. She admires and is influenced by the works and the lives of Anais Nin, Henry Miller, Hunter S. Thompson, and Charles Bukowski, among others, writing creative stories inspired by her own life experiences.

Dana has been a Freelance Writer/Editor since 2005.  In addition to her works for This Artists' Life, Dana is a weekly Contributor to the SevenPonds blog, and has been published in Madison, Wisconsin's The Daily Cardinal and The Onion's AV Club.

Dana's roots are in Madison, where she was Senior Writer for the Nick Hart for Mayor campaign in 2011, Editor of DoctorofGonzo.com from 2009-2010, and the author of the blog ShareAlltheWorld.com in 2008.
